Unrepeatered Submarine Optical Fibre Cable (BYUOC-1 LWP)

The unrepeatered submarine optical fibre cable communication system is not configured with repeaters and may use passive amplifiers, applicable to offshore medium- and short-distance communication systems.
Characteristics

  • Executive standards: GB/T 18480, GJB 4489, IEC 60794, ITU-T G.976
  • Scope of application: laid in oceans and rivers; used for communication and data transmission between continents and islands, between islands and islands, and between offshore operating equipment, featuring large transmission capacity and low loss; applicable to offshore medium- and short-distance communication systems, with a single span of more than 500 km at 100 Gb/s.
  • Temperature range: operating temperature: -10°C to +40°C; handling temperature: -15°C to +45°C; storage temperature: -30°C to +60°C
  • Normal service life: no less than 25 years
  • Maximum laying depth under water: 8,000 m
