On March 17, the Laser World of Photonics China 2021 was grandly opened at Shanghai New International Expo Center, and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) (Stock Code 601869.SH, 06869.HK) exhibited diversified products and solutions such as industrial lasers, optical interconnects for data centers, automotive and laser components, optical fibre sensing, HDMI active optical cables, optical transceivers and synthetic quartz materials, and held a promotional event for specialty products at the booth, attracting a great deal of attention. Furthermore, upon invitation, Yan Changkun, Senior Vice President of YOFC, attended the "Making Friends with Time: The First Chinese Listed Laser Companies Summit & Laser Leaders Conference" held simultaneously with the Laser World of Photonics China 2021.
YOFC provides a wide range of products designed for the industrial laser industry, including customized optical fibre preforms, active optical fibres, a full range of passive optical fibres, high-power fibre bragg gratings, TGG crystal materials, fluorine-doped capillary tubes and other core products. With excellent laser activity and long-term reliability, the products effectively provide momentum for rapid development of the industrial laser sector. Automotive Optical Component
In the context of 5G network construction, driverless technology is gaining rapid development and the vehicle-mounted LiDAR which serves as the “eyes” for autonomous vehicles has become one of the most important sensors. The wavelength of 1550nm, which is safe for human eyes, is ideal optical source for vehicle-mounted LiDAR. At the Laser World of Photonics China 2021, YOFC exhibited automotive optical connection components, polarization-maintaining EDFA modules, dual-channel EDFA modules and other products, providing new optical amplification solutions for automotive LiDAR. It is the result of YOFC' in-depth researches on 1550nm optical amplifier modules and related products on the basis of its advantages in special optical fibres.
Optical Fibre Sensing
Optical fibre sensing technology is widely used in many fields such as unmanned driving, hydrological survey, petroleum exploration and exploitation, and railway transportation. YOFC has developed a range of special devices and products and sensing systems on the basis of special optical fibres and its advantageous PCVD-based technique of manufacturing optical fibre preforms. At the Laser World of Photonics China 2021, YOFC mainly displayed optical fibre hydrophone system solutions and a variety of special optical fibres and cables such as radiation-resistant optical fibres and cables, high temperature optical fibres and cables, temperature measurement oriented optical cables and security protection oriented optical cables, receiving extensive attention of the customers.
Active Optical Cable
In the active optical cable exhibition area, YOFC mainly displayed active optical fibre data cables such as Commercial HDMI2.0 and Pure3 8K HDMI2.1. In particular, FIBBR Commercial HDMI 2.0, a product designed for engineering purposes, can withstand 3,000 times of bending and realize 50m loss-free signal transmission. With small joints, high flexibility in wiring and adaptability to harsh environment of -40℃ to 85℃, it is a professional engineering-oriented cable. Pure3 8K HDMI2.1, which is featured with bending resistance and highly efficient and loss-free transmission, can fully meet customers' needs for high-definition display and stereo sound effect in applications scenarios such as home audio and video, 8K and VR.
Fibre bragg gratings are indispensably important for applications such as optical fibre communication and lasers. YOFC’s fibre laser-oriented fibre bragg grating uses rare-earth-doped fibre as the gain medium, which helps to form a stable laser output and allows the customization of the type and length of the fibre. Furthermore, the temperature increase characteristics of high-power fibre bragg gratings are above the industrial standards and users can always find what they need from a wide variety of products. At the Laser World of Photonics China 2021, YOFC mainly displayed 4KW fibre bragg gratings, fibre bragg gratings for thulium-doped fibre lasers, and 3KW unencapsulated fibre bragg gratings.
By fully integrating platform resources, YOFC has developed a complete industrial chain covering device encapsulation, optical cable production and module assembly, and created a unique automated manufacturing system in the industry. YOFC's optical transceiver s, which are characterized by miniaturization, low power consumption and low cost, are widely used in 5G fronthaul and data centers. The product promotion event attracted a larger number of visitors and received overwhelming responses.
