Yan Changkun, vice president of YOFC delivered a speech themed Carrying out Integration of Information Technology and Industrialization and Pushing forward the Transformation of Optical Fibre Manufacturing, reviewing the exploration and accumulation of YOFC in informatization construction, presenting the Company's practice and achievement in intelligent manufacturing field, particularly the specific conditions of YOFC in launching MIIT's "intelligent manufacturing new model and standardized application projects and YOFC's plan and goal in developing intelligent manufacturing next. As the largest supplier of optical fibre preform, optical fibre and optical cable globally, YOFC has been actively pushing forward integration of information technology and industrialization and intelligent manufacturing for years. In July 2015, it became one of 46 intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration enterprises, the first batch defined by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the only representative of both Chinese optical fibre and optical cable industry and Hubei Province. At the meeting, Mr. Yan also broadcast the video of intelligent manufacturing project of YOFC Qianjiang Co. and presented the construction condition of YOFC Qianjiang intelligent manufacturing smart plant, widely acclaimed by the honored guests in the venue.

As one of activities in the session, the host organized an expert team to YOFC Qianjian Co. for a research and investigation on July 21. The vice president of YOFC Gu Lixin introduced the making process of optical fibre and the latest preform manufacturing technology developed by YOFC to the expert team and showed the expert team around the preform making shop, optical fibre wire-drawing shop, intelligent stereoscopic warehouse of the smart plant. The expert team fully affirmed the practice of YOFC Qianjaing Co. in taking the lead to push forward intelligent manufacturing in the domestic optical cable industry and praised that the smart plant of YOFC Qianjaing has represented the highest level and development direction of intelligent manufacturing in optical fibre and optical cable industry of China and even the world.
