YOFC Makes a Blockbuster at the OFC

During March 20-24, the grand Optical Fibre Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC) was held at Anaheim Convention Center, California, US. The YOFC appeared at the exposition gorgeously with its exhibition stand adopted with the technology blue design, complementing the Company’s image of leading technology each other. 


At the exposition, the YOFC focused on the exhibition of two top products in the product line of the communication optical fibre products, i.e., “ultra-low-loss and large-effective-area fiber” and the brand new “broadband OM4 multimode fiber”. Since the YOFC formally released the FarBand® Ultra G.654 fibre in March 2015, the YOFC has constantly improved the product. After one year of efforts, the attenuation of 1550nm FarBand® Ultra G.654 fibre has been lowered than 0.160dB/km and the large-scale use in commerce has been realized. At the end of 2015, the YOFC’s ultra-low-attenuation single-mode fibre was granted the “Innovation Awards of Optical Fibre Technology” by the authoritative media People’s Posts and Telecommunications News in China's communication industry. At the beginning of 2016, it was awarded “Hubei 2015 Top Ten Annual Science and Technology Events” that “YOFC broke the foreign technological monopoly with its ultra-low-loss single-mode fiber”. This time, the YOFC was invited to deliver the theme report entitled “The Bend-Insensitive Large-Effective-Area Ultra-Low-Loss Fibre Used for Long-Distance Transmission” for the OFC.

Meanwhile, at this OFC, Manager Li Jing from the YOFC’s R&D Center organized and hosted the “New Fibre Application Seminar” held by the OFC on invitation as the member of the OFC executive committee. The present network experiment, application advantages and prospects of the large-effective-area fibre, ultra-low-loss fibre, photonic crystal fibre, few-mode fibre and broadband multimode fibre were discussed by the participating guests.
