On September 29, the "2018 Student Commendation Conference - YOFC Scholarship Award Ceremony" of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT) was held at the Youth Theatre of Xianlin Campus of NJUPT. Zhang Xueqing, assistant president of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC, stock code: 601869.SH, 06869.HK), attended the ceremony and presented the award to the winners of the YOFC Scholarship.

YOFC launched the YOFC Scholarship program as early as in 2001, providing financial support for the outstanding students from more than ten colleges including NJUPT. Currently, it has provided a per-capita funding of over RMB 5,000 for 209 students of NJUPT. YOFC has also carried out long-term and in-depth cooperation with NJUPT in terms of talent training and scientific research, which has yielded remarkable results.

While developing rapidly, YOFC has never givenup its social responsibilities. In recent years, it has made tremendous contributions in promoting the employment of regional talents and engaging in earthquake relief, and has won praises from all walks of life. YOFC's commitment to the corporate social responsibility is demonstrated by its support for education. The implementation of the YOFC Scholarship program has not only encouraged students to overcome difficulties and advance on the road of studying, but also effectively promoted the level of applied research and the training of industry talents of colleges and universities, accumulating a strong force for the development of China's optical communication industry.
