The Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) was held in Kuntai Hotel Beijing from October 24th to 27th, 2020. The ACP Conference is currently the largest conference on optical communications, photonics, optical sensing and related optoelectronic technologies in the Asia-Pacific region. It is also one of the three largest optical communications conferences in the world. It has been held for 19 consecutive sessions since 2001.

The ACP2020 conference was hosted in Beijing by the State Key Laboratory of Information Photonics and Optical Communications, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications(WUPT), and the State Key Laboratory of Optical Fiber and Cable Manufature Technology(OFCMT) of YOFC Co., Ltd. This conference was held in the form of domestic offline and overseas online. The offline meeting was synchronized to open the cloud live broadcast, and the online and offline discussion topics were synchronized. Through the innovation of the conference model, this ACP conference provided a seamless communication platform for global scientific and technological workers and industry technical experts to communicate freely and freely online and offline.

The ACP2020 conference specially invited few experts to made the conference reports: Gu Min, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and an academician of the Australian Academy of Technology Science and Engineering, Dimitra Simeonidou, an academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a professor at the University of Bristol, as well as Connie J.Chang-Hasnain, an IEEE Fellow and a professor at the University of California, Berkeley . Experts and scholars discussed the depth and breadth of the optical field involved, and played a leading role in many emerging topics in the fields of optical communications, optical networks and photonics.

During the ACP 2020 conference, YOFC and China Telecom jointly organized the "High-speed broadband optical communication system and key technology progress" industrial forum, and specially invited Professor Liu Tao to come and give guidance. Dr. Luojie, the chairman of the forum, the technical director of YOFC and the director of OFCMT, made an opening speech. The forum also invited 8 experts and scholars from China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Peking University, Huawei, etc. made important research reports about advanced optical fiber and its nonlinear processing technology, the latest broadband amplification technology, ultra-long and ultra-large capacity wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system. Dr. Liangming Xiong of OFCMT and Dr. Junjie Li, chief expert of China Telecom, co-chaired this industrial forum.
