MWC2025丨YOFC Unveils New Fibre Products to Enhance Optical Connectivity Networks
2025-03-06

On March 4, local time, during MWC Barcelona 2025, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC, stock code: 601869.SH, 06869.HK) held a launch event at its booth, where two new fibre products were unveiled to a packed audience. The buzzworthy event attracted significant attention.

At the event, Stelyana Baleva, Principal Analyst at LightCounting, delivered a keynote speech, sharing insights into the current landscape and future trends of global optical transceiver market and technology driven by the booming AI industry.

Vishnu Patidar, a Senior Analyst in CRU's Wire and Cable team also took the stage, presenting  predictions about future market demand for optical fibres and cables, and exploring how advancements in AI technology drive the need for new fibre products.

Subsequently, YOFC's Executive Director and President, Zhuang Dan, along with Senior Vice President Jan Bongaerts and Vice Presidents Zheng Xin and Wang Ruichun, jointly launched two new products: the EasyBand® Plus-Mini 173μm fibre and the MaxBand® OM4 Pro fibre. They enrich YOFC's product lineup and offer new fibre options for urban network upgrades and supercomputing data centers.

EasyBand® Plus-Mini 173μm Fibre

The fibre achieves the perfect combination of a smaller outer diameter and bend-insensitive properties, effectively reducing the size and weight of cables while significantly improving the utilization of pipeline resources. It is an ideal choice for upgrading urban pipe networks.

MaxBand® OM4 Pro Fibre

The fibre, designed for single-channel 100G transceiver technology, compensates for signal degradation caused by emission wavelength drift in optical transceivers. This ensures that multimode connectivity solutions for data centers can evolve to support speeds of 400G, 800G, and beyond, providing reliable connectivity to meet the escalating demands of AI computing power.

As AI technology continues to advance, the global digitization process is accelerating at an unprecedented speed. With new applications emerging constantly, the demands on network infrastructure are growing ever more complex. YOFC will remain innovation-driven and customer-oriented, providing a strong optical connectivity foundation for global digital transformation and contributing to a smart, interconnected world.
