Lensed Fibre
EDFA is the most widely used optical fibre amplifier in the field of optical fibre communication. As one of core components of EDFA, the lensed fibre is used to couple as much laser from the semiconductor laser chip into the fibre as possible, so that the seed laser source has high power. Lensed fibre is also widely used in the fields of fibre optic gyroscope, optic fibre sensing and tunable external-cavity semiconductor laser.
