National Key Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing and Application Technology of Optical Fibre and Cable is built under the leadership of YOFC. It has a complete and advanced scientific research platform and system in the aspects of preform-making, wire-drawing, cable-laying, optical fibre and cable testing, optical fibre application and key equipment technology, etc.
In the aspect of preform-making technology research, our lab has the most comprehensive preparation technology of preforms including PCVD, MCVD, VAD and OVD.
In the aspect of wire-drawing technology research, our lab has designed and developed wire-drawing systems with different functions, screening equipment and automatic control software system.
In the aspect of cable-laying technology research, our lab has various cable-laying research platforms and test systems which can meet the needs of conventional optical fibre, special optical fibre and novel optical fibre.
In the aspect of optical fibre application technology research, our lab has various research platforms and test systems of all series optical current transformer, Raman temperature sensor, fibre grating sensor, high-power laser performance and fibre bundle.
In the aspect of test technology research, our lab has a complete research platform and test system for conventional optical fibre testing, including optics, geometry, mechanics and environment.
