Days ago, Fujikura of Japan finalized the writing of Easyband (G657A2) optical fibre fusion slicing program developed by YOFC into its new fusion splicer. At the same time, Fujikura also publicized the notice of technical updating on its own website and on the website of its Chinese dealer Shanghai Grandway so that the buyers of its fusion slicers can update their machines.

As required by the Chinese policies, butterfly-type optical cable should be manufactured by using G.657.A2 optical fibers. However, the fusion and slicing of G.657.A2 optical fibre had been a major technical problem. To solve this problem, the YOFC technicians and its R&D Center have made many experiments and long-term test. In the end, YOFC developed the fusion/slicing parameters and models for G.657.A2 optical fibers in March 2013.

To better extend the technology and Easyband optical fibers, YOFC has established strategic partnership with Fujikura of Japan. YOFC is also the first Chinese company that collaborated with Fujikura on fusion/slicing program writing in. Following this, YOFC will get into similar partnership with Sumimoto of Japan and INNO Instrument of Korea. Because the fusion slicers produced by the three companies now occupy 98-99% market share in Asia Pacific region, such partnership lays a wonderful foundation for the promotion of YOFC’s Easyband optical fibers.
