Recently, the southern region of China has been hit by rainstorm frequently and suffered a lot from the disaster. The communication cables in local areas were damaged, resulting in communication outage and bringing great inconvenience to the daily life and rescue and relief work of people in flood-stricken areas.  The flood of the southern region has touched the hearts of millions of people across the country and the heart of each YOFC staff.

To rebuild the flood-stricken areas and restore the communication shall be an issue of top priority. Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Co., Ltd. (stock code: 6869.HK, hereinafter referred to as "YOFC") shall, after receiving the demand of disaster-relief materials from China Mobile Hunan Branch and China Mobile Jiangxi Branch, activated the emergency mechanism of supplying relief materials, organized the resources for adjusting the production immediately. All the departments made concerted efforts, worked overtime and got the relief materials ready as scheduled. A number of trucks fully loaded with optical fibers and the loving care and blessing of YOFC staff to the people in disaster-stricken areas left from YOFC, headed for Hunan and Jiangxi for supporting the disaster-stricken areas in restoring the communication.

"The natural disaster is ruthless, but YOFC is caring". In 2012, YOFC donated 200,000 RMB for disaster-relief work of Mulan disaster area and helped local residents organize self-help production; in 2014, Ludian, Zhaotong, Yunnan was stricken by earthquake. YOFC donated optical communication cables at the first time; in 2016, Funing, Jiangsu encountered hailstone disaster. YOFC immediately delivered the relief optical cables for supporting the communication construction in the disaster area...the deeds of loving care are numerous to mention one by one. In 2015, YOFC won "China Best Corporate Citizenship Award 2015". In 2016, it was rewarded as "Innovative China · Green Responsible Excellent Enterprise" and won the recognition and praise of the whole society.
