On September 24-26, the "SUBMARINE NETWORKS WORLD 2018” was held at the Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore. This is the 21st SNW, and it continues to be the only platform that industry leaders gather together every year to exchange knowledge, showcase the latest submarine cable projects, establish new strategic partnerships, and ultimately promote the development of the industry. More than 600 decision makers from 220 organizations participated in this high-end communication platform dedicated to the world's submarine communication industry.
The theme of this SNW was defined as the “evolving ecosystem” to reflect the vitality, innovations and changes that the industry has presented. Based on the forward-looking plans, we hope to promote community reflection, thinking and creation to go beyond traditional boundaries. As a new member of the world's submarine cable field, YOFC Baosheng Marine Engineering Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as YOFC Baosheng) attended this SNW for the first time.
Relying on the leading position of the parent company in its own field, the JV will carry out work in the research and development, manufacturing, marketing and integration service for submarine optical cables, submarine cables and their accessories. YOFC Baosheng will be developed into an internationally influential and competitive product and solution provider to serve the innovation and development of industries such as the global marine power, information communication and monitoring.
The submarine network carries more than 95% of voice and data flows in the world, and its role has evolved from the transatlantic telegraph transmission in the 18th century to the mission-critical infrastructure that supports today's global economy. However, as the world gets closer, the need for networks featuring with low delay, larger capacity and more flexibility is escalating. In order to tackle this challenge, the industry needs constant forecasting, innovation and collaboration to survive and thrive in the era of bandwidth explosion. The world is subject to the transformation towards an on-demand digital economy, and agility, security, scale and good planning will be key features of success.
During this SNW, the“StrBandTMA110, A130 and A150” G.654.D ultra-low-loss submarine communication fibers exhibited at the exhibition stand of YOFC Baosheng can effectively improve the optical signal-to-noise ratio, increase the transmission relay distance and meet the requirements on growth and delay of the Tbps transoceanic bandwidth. 290/500kV optoelectronic composite submarine cables are suitable for the high-power and long-distance AC transmission system with power frequency of 49~61 Hz and rated voltage of 290/500kV, and its maximum conductor cross section may reach 3,500 mm2. YOFC Baosheng brings in a complete set of imported production and testing equipment, and has technologies with independent intellectual property rights for design, research and development of submarine cables, ensuring the continuous production of large-length submarine cables. The product features with domestically and internationally advanced technology levels, breaking the technical blockade by foreign manufacturers for many years.
In the future, YOFC Baosheng will adhere to the business philosophy of “integrity, professionalism and accountability”, as well as the core value of “client focus”, continuously improve the product quality and service level, and strive to become the domestic leading and world-class solution provider for marine power systems and marine optical network systems.
