The 2017 Indonesia FTTH Chances and Challenges Forum was held successfully in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia on November 23rd. Dr. Ismil, Vice Minister of the Department of Telecommunications, Dr. Arwin, Vice President of the FTTH APAC (Fibre to the Home Council Asia Pacific) and Leader of Telkom Indonesia and representatives of major FTTH operators in Indonesia attended the meeting.
As a member of FTTH APAC and the gold level sponsor of this forum, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (Hereinafter referred to as “YOFC” or “the company”, stock code: 6869.HK) displayed its whole series of FTTH products on this meeting. Kong wentao, the Sales Director of Yangtze Optics Fibre Indonesia and Yangtze Optics Indonesia was invited to the forum and delivered a speech.
Major concerns discussed on this forum focused on how could the members of FTTH help related operators to accelerate FTTH network constructing as well as the quality of it in Indonesia. As Indonesia being the priority foreign country of the “One Belt, One Road” policy, YOFC make it an important target market based on the company’s internationalization strategy. YOFC set up the first optical fibre company in the Southeast Asia - the Yangtze Optics Fibre Indonesia(YOFI) in 2015. Soon afterwards, the company set up another joint venture - Yangtze Optics Indonesia(YOI) for optical fibre local manufacturing in order to better serve customers from Indonesia and neighboring countries. In the future, YOFC and its two subsidiary joint ventures will stick to the values of “Client Focus/Accountability/Innovation/Stakeholder Benefits” and pursuit remarkable contribution to the FTTH business of Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries.
