On April 26, YOFC Baosheng Marine Engineering Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "YOFC Baosheng"), a subsidiary of YOFC, held the delivery ceremony of two engineering vessels in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. This exciting moment was witnessed by industry heavyweights such as Mr. Ou Huisheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., Mr. Sheng Changshan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Baosheng Science and Technology Innovation Co., Ltd., Dr. Zhuang Dan, Executive Director and President of YOFC, Ms. Zhou Lijing, Senior Vice President of YOFC, Mr. Zheng Xin, Vice President of YOFC, and representatives of the owner and general contractor.
The delivered two engineering vessels are specifically designed by YOFC Baosheng for the construction of large offshore wind power projects, with the aim to explore marine green energy and contribute to marine development. The project wrap-up will make a great difference in the sustainable development of offshore new energy and bring China a step closer to its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
CHANGSHENG 5000 full-slewing heavy lift vessel and CHANGSHENG 1200 jack-up wind power installation platform are invested and operated by YOFC Baosheng.
CHANGSHENG 5000 features dimensions of 182m × 49m × 15m (length × moulded breadth × moulded depth), and a main lifting capacity of 4,000t (3,000t in the case of full slewing), as well as 1,000t auxiliary hoists. It is designed for piling operations in marine projects and for hoisting construction of jackets, step-up stations, and large blocks. Moreover, the vessel is equipped with an 8-point anchor mooring positioning system, and has been registered with China Classification Society (CCS), making it suitable for towing in non-restricted waters. The ship features high operational capability and broad operational range. It can greatly extend the weather window period for deep-sea wind power construction, and bring down the construction cost. It takes a leading position in energy saving effect and public safety standards in China.
CHANGSHENG 1200 features dimensions of 105m ×40.8m ×7.5m (length × moulded breadth × moulded depth), and integrates the functions of transportation, positioning, installation, and living. It is a practical and cost-effective wind power installation platform. The vessel is equipped with 2 sets of 1,800kW all-direction propellers and 2 sets of 1,000kW all-direction propellers at the bow and stern. It boasts a DP1 dynamic positioning function, allowing for autonomous navigation in wind farms, thus achieving flexible operation and high construction efficiency. The vessel is equipped with an 800t pile-winding full slewing crane at the starboard bow of the main deck, making it capable of hoisting mainstream high-power wind turbine generator models in China, and meeting the installation requirements of 12-14MW offshore wind turbine generators. It outperforms other platforms at the same level in terms of installed capacity.
The delivery of the two engineering vessels marks that the self-owned vessels of YOFC Baosheng have a proven and comprehensive strength in the whole industry chain, including offshore wind power installation, offshore wind farm operation and maintenance, and offshore oil and gas projects. Going forward, YOFC Baosheng will strive to serve numerous owners and general contractors in the areas of offshore wind power, marine communication and offshore oil and gas in an all-round way.
The oceans are strategically important to high-quality development. With the mission of "Smart Link Better Life", YOFC Baosheng will capture the opportunities and forge ahead, and it is well-positioned to play a bigger role in areas such as marine power, marine communications, marine oil and gas, smart ocean etc., and contribute to China’s marine economy development.
