The victory on January 2016 made YOFC a pride in Hubei.

In the three months of hard work, the Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province joined the IPTV to launch the 2015 Top Ten Hubei Science and Technology Events contest, and announced the results today. After the recommendation and the selection, the public voting, expert appraisal and selection, and other processes, as YOFC "broke the foreign technological monopoly with its ultra-low-loss single-mode fibre," it is nominated as one of the top ten scientific and technological events of Hubei for 2015.

In March 2015, YOFC officially released the two ultra-low-loss single-mode fibre optic products worldwide in the United States with full intellectual property rights, breaking the foreign companies' technological monopoly of similar products single-handedly, providing new fibre solutions for the next generation communication and transmission system. The availability of these products marks that YOFC has become one of the world's few corporations able to provide a full spectrum of single-mode optical fibre products, and the only one domestically.

Hubei's 2015 Annual Top Ten Science and Technology Event aims at gathering and appraising the events that have significant impact, which happened in 2015 in Hubei, in terms of technological achievements, technological change, science and technology activities, and other aspects. Ever since the beginning in December 2015, the provincial departments, institutes, colleges and universities, and the science and technology administrative system and businesses recommended a total of 66 alternative science and technology events – a record high. Audited by the director's board meeting, 20 selected alternative events are subjected to public online voting via the column of IPTV. Eventually, according to the sorted public votes and experts' comments, audited by the directors' board meeting, the 2015 Top Ten Hubei Annual Science and Technology Event have been agreed on.
