Today, the grand groundbreaking ceremony of Zhejiang Lianfei Optical Fibre and Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ZLOFC) was held in the Qingshanhu Science & Technology City, Lin’an City, Zhejiang Province. The Mayor of Lin’an City of Zhejiang Province Wang Min, Director of Municipal People's Congress Wu Miaoqiang, President of the Municipal PCC Zhang Jinliang, member of the Municipal Standing Committee and director of the Management Committee of Qingshanhu Science & Technology City Yu Linbo, member of the Municipal Standing Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor Zhang Dengfeng, member of the Municipal Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor Feng Lei presented at the groundbreaking ceremony and expressed their congratulations. The YOFC’s Chairman Wen Huiguo, Director Zheng Huili, Vice President Zhang Mu, general manager assistant of Finance Center Qin Zhihong and the ZLOFC’s General Manager He Zhenbao attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

The ZLOFC is jointly invested and established by Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) and the principal members of Lin’an Wires and Cables Association, with the YOFC’s investment interests occupying 51%. The planned optical fibre drawing capacity of the ZLOFC is 15 million kilometers.

In recent years, with the progress of “optical access for replacing copper access”, it has become the historical necessity for the optical fibre replacing the coaxial-cable accessing into the transmission field of broadcasting and TV.

With the broadcasting and TV clients as the major clients, the wire and cable enterprises in Lin’an urgently need to be transformed and upgraded to the optical fibre and cable field. The YOFC has always committed to the extensive application of optical fibre technology and is the world’s largest supplier of optical fibre perform and world’s second largest supplier of optical fibre and cable after the development of 28 years. Its strong technical and brand advantages will provide powerful support for the wires and cables enterprises in Lin’an in the transformation and upgrading to the optical fibre and cable field. After the planned capacity is all in production, the newly established ZLOFC will become the second largest enterprise in optical fibre production and the major optical fibre supplier in Chinese market.
