On 25 January, AVIC Baosheng Ocean Engineering Cable Co. Ltd. (the “Submarine Cable Company", a joint venture of YOFC and Baosheng) delivered its first order for a large-length submarine optical fibre cable with the products shipped to an overseas customer of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC, stock code: 601869.SH, 06869.HK). This historic moment marks a new milestone for YOFC's international expansion and relevant diversification strategy after the JV delivered its first large length 220 kV fibre composite submarine cable on September 20, 2020.

Despite the highly demanding manufacturing process and tight schedule, the Submarine Cable Company worked well with International Business Center of YOFC to make the delivery a success. The successful delivery of the submarine cable this time takes YOFC to a next level of submarine cable production capability, and establishes a solid foundation for YOFC to fulfil its marine strategic goals under its 14th Five-Year Plan.

The Submarine Cable Company is a joint venture between YOFC and Baosheng Science and Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. It provides customers with products and solutions such as submarine optical fibre cables, submarine power cables, optoelectronic composite cables, submarine specialty cables, umbilical cables, and engineering design, manufacturing, installation, and service systematization and integration. The company is proud to be the world's largest single submarine cable production base.

Remaining true to its mission of "Smart Link Better Life", YOFC will seize the opportunities for the well-rounded development of the global marine economy and follow the marine development strategy included in China's 14th Five-Year Plan. To do so, it will remain committed to building a highly competitive submarine manufacturing and service base and developing new strengths in marine communications and engineering. In this way, we aim to play a role in both global marine ICT applications, and China's development strategy as a maritime power.
