Following the conclusion of 2024 MWC Barcelona, LEAP Tech Conference 2024 (hereinafter referred to as "2024 LEAP") kicked off in Saudi Arabia. On March 4-7, 2024 local time, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC, stock coder: 601869.SH, 06869.HK) attended the big tech event with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions to address the local needs in the Middle East, creating new value for customers.

As Saudi Arabia is working on accelerating digital transformation , YOFC aims to take audiences into a new world of connectivity technology. Our exhibition theme is ""Connect the World, Accelerate the Future"". Audiences can explore four captivating sections at the exhibition: "Moving Toward 5G Advanced", "New Hub of Computility", "Marine Communication", and "A New Era of Smart Life".  A large number of customers and visitors are immersed in the fascinating offerings and engage in discussions.

  • Moving Toward 5G Advanced: As an upgraded version of 5G technology, 5G Advanced not only brings faster network speeds but also spawns new application modes in various fields such as passive IoT and ultra-low latency, injecting new vitality into economic and social development. As the "nerves" for information transmission, optical fibres serve as the foundation of the Internet of Everything in the 5G Advanced era. At the 2024 LEAP, YOFC showcased industry-leading products such as the FarBand® Ultra low loss G.654.E fibre, the GenBand® fibre, and the OM5 bend insensitive multimode fibre, as well as optical cable solutions for all scenarios. In this way, YOFC presented a variety of excellent optical fibre products and solutions encompassing both short-distance transmission in data centers and ultra-long span transmission in the 5G Advanced era.

  • New Hub of Computility: YOFC further integrated platform resources and brought a full range of passive optical and active optical products to the exhibition, providing cost-effective and innovative solutions for the optical communication industry. Passive products included various customized optical fibre arrays (FA), arrayed waveguide gratings (AWG), variable optical attenuator multiplexers (VMUX), and MEMS-based variable optical attenuators (MEMS VOA), with quality surpassing industry standards and requirements. Active products included various optical transceivers, including those for transmission and data communication, as well as various active optical cables and copper cables (AOC/DAC/ACC/AEC), with speed rates ranging from 10 G to 800 G.

  • Marine Communication: YOFC is actively making its presence in a comprehensive industry chain in marine engineering. This includes products such as submarine optical cables and submarine electrical cables, as well as related solutions and EPC services. These products and services cater to various marine applications, including offshore wind power transmission, offshore oil platforms, transoceanic communication, and undersea observation networks. At the 2024 LEAP, YOFC exhibited the marine cables for various transoceanic communication systems, showcasing comprehensive solutions and technical capabilities that cater to all-scenario connectivity.

  • A New Era of Smart Life: YOFC showcased the new generation F.ODN pre-connection solution. Compared with traditional cable access solutions, this one applies to various scenarios such as overhead and pole-mounted installation, ducts, and manholes. It is a plug-and-play solution that supports quick plugging and unplugging, which can reduce installation time by 80% and save a significant amount of labor costs, assisting customers in rapidly and efficiently deploying high-quality networks. Additionally, YOFC presented the FTTR invisible optical cabling system solution, which is increasingly favored by operators for its good design and convenient installation.

Adhering to the mission of "Smart Link Better Life", YOFC will develop more high-quality products and solutions to support the development of digital infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, narrow the digital divide, and contribute our strength to realizing Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
