From September 9 to 11, the 22nd China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE) was held in Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Optical Fibre Communication
In an optical fibre communication system, optical fibre serves to transmit signals, and also constitutes an important part of optical devices. At this exhibition, YOFC showcased single-mode fibres for optical communication devices, polarization-maintaining fibres for component, matched-clad single-mode fibres, dispersion displacement fibres and other specialty optical fibre products. The industry-leading optical and geometrical performances of the products enable them to better address the developing needs as optical devices are evolving toward miniaturization and integration. Furthermore, YOFC also highlighted multi-core fibres and supporting fan-in and fan-out modules, few-mode fibres and multiplexer/demultiplexer developed with the most cutting-edge technologies.
Fibre sensing technology has been widely applied in a number of fields including autonomous driving, hydrological survey, oil exploration and exploitation, and railway transportation. While leveraging its proprietary core technology of PCVD, YOFC has developed specialty component products and sensing systems on the foundation of specialty optical fibres. In addition to fibres and optical cables for hydrophones, radiation-resistant optical fibres and cables, high temperature optical fibres and cables, and a variety of specialty optical fibres and cables for temperature measurement and security applications, YOFC also demonstrated on-board optical amplifier modules, distributed temperature measurement systems, distributed optical fibre stress and strain detection systems, distributed vibration systems, and some other latest sensing modules and system equipment. Industrial laser technology has been evolving rapidly in recent years, and the market size has been growing year by year. In response to customers' application demand, YOFC has developed a wide range of serialized products in the industrial laser field. At this event, YOFC mainly exhibited its customizable optical fibre preforms, active optical fibres, the entire series of passive optical fibres, crystal materials, fluorine-doped capillary tubes, FBGs for high power fibre laser, medium- and high-power transmission components as well as other passive devices and components.
As a provider of optical transceiver solutions in the era of 5G New Infrastructure, YOFC demonstrated optical transceivers for transmission, wireless, and data center as well as passive wavelength division equipment and AOC active optical cables applicable for 5G and data center multi-scenario connections. In the exhibition area of active optical cables, YOFC demonstrated a specialty engineering optical fibre cable made of its unique BendRobustTM specialty bend-resistant fibre and proprietary high-efficiency photoelectric conversion chip. With better high-speed signal transmission performance, broad compatibility, and support for flexible chip configuration, this optical fibre cable is suitable for more application scenarios, and can maintain high performance and stability in consumer and industrial automation applications as well as other sophisticated bending environments.
Submarine Fibre-optic Cable
